Nice face - shame she has turned her body into looking like Stilton.
Always good to have a fashion statement permanently attached to your body so that when it goes out of fashion you are stuck with it. Similar to stapling flairs to your hips or nailing a hat to your head.
Sorry but I couldn't help but just put it to you that not everything tattooed on someone's skin is a fashion statement. A lot of tattoos have sentimental meaning or were done to commemorate an occasion. Maybe it is a fashion statement, but considering how long simple alternative fashion movements have been around (goths, for instance) I don't think she'll regret those. I wouldn't - they're a fantastic piece of art.
I'm an observant person and I see the prevalence of tatoos growing at such a rate, this is of course as a result "a fashion" and whether or not you think of yourself as an 'individual' expressing yourself uniquely, it is more likely that you are actually influenced by that fashion.
We all tend to think of ourselves as unique but if you are female and have a tattoo it is very likely that you are affected strongly by fashion. You may attach yourself mentally to a smaller tribal group but at the core of it, it is still fashion.
It may well also be art but the the thing of it is this: if you do this with any sort of fashion sense in mind, deliberately or not then you are making a massive mistake when the winds change and the fashion simply dissipates. You can be left with something fairly permanent.
When you've been around for a while and you've seen countless fashions come and go then you can sit back with amusement as youngsters submit themselves to these fashions without really knowing what they are doing. Peer pressure is a strong force.
